Jimmie van der Zwaan
He has particular experience of working with companies in the energy sector, covering aspects relating to oil & gas (upstream and downstream), suppliers & contractors, electricity, alternative resources and renewables. His broad industry knowledge enables him to provide practical and sound advice to his clients. He has experience with the state profit share regarding the extraction of oil & gas in the Netherlands.
He specialises in corporate tax issues and heads the Dutch Transfer Pricing practice. For his clients he is involved in functional and economic analysis, profit allocation and advance pricing arrangements with the tax authorities. In doing so the goal is to provide a sound balance between technical sound advice and practical implementations. He is also called upon to assist with domestic and international matters such as tax control frameworks, setting up new businesses and joint ventures, both in the Netherlands and internationally. He is often involved in analysing new businesses and optimising of existing business structures and the tax qualification thereof. Herein the existence of permanent establishments plays an important role.
He is a qualified attorney at law and registered with the Dutch Bar (NOVA) and the Dutch Associations of Tax Advisors (NOB). He is member of the IFA (International Fiscal Association). He is also a representative for the IRO (Dutch association of suppliers in the oil & gas industry) and a member of NeVER (Dutch association of energy law) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers).
