Frans is a partner with Taxand Netherlands specializing in tax litigation and tax for private clients.
Frans acts as trusted adviser for larger family-owned enterprises and high net worth individuals and frequently litigates in tax matters. He was lead counsel in a landmark gaming tax case in which the Dutch High Court ruled that the Dutch gaming and betting tax act is against EU law.
He has been a board member of the stock quoted Dordtsche Petroleum-Industrie Maatschappij and was president of the Advisory Committee for Tax Law for the Dutch Bar, co-chair of the International Tax Committee of the American Bar Association/Section of International Law and president of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
Frans is a member of the Amsterdam Bar.
